Gliese Project Eyeing Relocation to Tsukuba

Tsukuba, Japan - “The recent escalation of the Iran war and the possibility of retaliation by extremists against the assets of foreign companies are major concerns for the current project in Malaysia. We must seek compatible relocation options that will ensure the best opportunities and safety,” said Ifan Jemal, CEO of the Hai Navi Group.
On 2026, September 24, the project is scheduled to make key changes to it's leadership, by first meeting with Jon Heese, an independent political councillor in Tsukuba City, who is a part of the Ibaraki Prefectural Assembly. The plan is to tour the city and survey new sites for the project. Tsukuba City is located just 45 minutes by limited express train from Akihabara Station and holds great potential to expand the Kanto region through new investment. The city continues to grow quickly due to its connection to Tokyo via the Tsukuba Express line and International residents make up about 4.9% of the population, coming from over 144 countries.
