LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! OHIO STATE WON THE BATTLE AGAINST INDIANA — BUT DID THEY LOSE THEIR GENERAL?!

The Buckeyes escaped with a 19–15 win on 17 October, and star quarterback Julian Sayin injured his throwing arm after a collision during the fourth quarter. He returned to the sideline wearing a sling. OUCH!

Coach Ryan Day said Sayin would miss several weeks. That is a serious blow, although a full-season absence has not been confirmed. Let's not turn a worrying prognosis into an invented medical bulletin!

C'MON, BUCKEYES! You escaped a tough Indiana team by four points, and now you've got to work out who can run that offence while Sayin recovers.

Backup Luke Fahey stepped in after the injury. Ohio State has talent, but a depth chart on paper isn't the same thing as taking live snaps with a season on the line.

Remember, Ohio State has survived quarterback adversity before. I'm not writing their obituary. But with USC coming up on 31 October, the clock is ticking.

AND HERE'S THE KICKER! Across college football, ranked teams are falling everywhere. Nobody is safe, and the Buckeyes are no exception. If they don't get the replacement plan right FAST, this could get very uncomfortable!
